6. If valve clearance is not at standard value, loosen
rocker arm locknut and use a feeler gauge to adjust
clearance while turning adjusting screw.
7. Hold screwdriver so adjusting screw will not turn and
tighten locknut to specified torque.

8. Turn crankshaft a further 240� in clockwise direction
and align round mark on camshaft sprocket with timing
mark on timing belt rear cover to set No. 3 cylinder on
compression top dead center.
IMPORTANT: Turn crankshaft only in clockwise
direction.
9. Measure valve clearance at locations shown in il­
lustration.
