Procedure: Set Up Internal Timing
If no BITS source is available, you can set up internal timing by timing all nodes in the ring from the
internal clock of one node.
Internal timing is Stratum 3 and not intended for permanent use. All ONS 15327s should be timed to

a Stratum 2 or better primary reference source.
Log into the node that will serve as the timing source.
Step 1
In the CTC node view, click the Provisioning > Timing tabs.

In the General Timing section, enter the following:

SSM Message Set—Set to Generation 1.
Quality of RES—Set to DUS.
