Data
By default, CentricStor always has at least two logical volume groups ("BASE"
and "TR-LVG"). These are available in addition to the freely configureable
volume groups.
You have two different systems (a BS2000
host and a UNIX system) using CentricStor
UNIX system
in conjunction with an archive system. By
grouping volumes, it is hoped to achieve a
situation where BS2000 data and UNIX
data are stored on different physical
LVG2
volumes.
LV3001
LV3002
The logical volumes of the BS2000 host are
LV3003
assigned to the logical volume group LVG1,

while those of the UNIX system are
LV6000
assigned to the logical volume group LVG2.
These logical volumes can (but need not
necessarily) be assigned to various physical
volume groups.

PV0600
UNIX files will be stored on the physical
volumes PV0501 through PV0600.
