General Information

Fuel Shutoff Valves

These valves should be shut when removing the engine
or placing the unit in long term storage.

Filling Fuel Tank

The engine runs on No. 2 diesel fuel. The fuel tank ca-
pacity is approximately 6 gallons (22.7 L)
1. Clean area around fuel tank cap.
Diesel fuel is flammable. Use caution when
storing or handling it. Do not smoke while
filling the fuel tank. Do not fill fuel tank while
engine is running or in an enclosed area. Al-
ways fill fuel tank outside and wipe up any
spilled diesel fuel before starting the en-
gine. Store fuel in a clean, safety–approved
container, and keep the cap in place. Use
diesel fuel for the engine only; not for any
other purpose.
2. Remove fuel tank cap.
3. Fill tank to about one inch below the top of the tank,
(bottom of filler neck). Do not overfill. Then install cap.
4. Wipe up any fuel that may have spilled to prevent a
fire hazard.
