3. Remove caps or plugs in motor openings and hose
assemblies.
4. Apply clean hydraulic oil to all O–rings.
5. Place O–ring on the face seal of a hydraulic fitting.
Secure fitting to the reel motor. Make sure that the match
marks are aligned. Repeat this step for the remaining fit-
tings.

6. Make sure hose connections are clean. Inspect
threads and sealing surfaces of connections. Replace
any worn or damaged connections.
7. Install reel motor to the cutting unit (see Cutting Unit
Removal and Installation in Chapter 7– Cutting Units).
8. Secure hose connection to the proper hydraulic fit-
ting on the reel motor. Repeat this step for the remaining
hose connections.
