14.10.2
Application
Automation bits, command function for DNP3 (AUTOBITS) is used within PCM600 in order to get
into the configuration the commands coming through the DNP3.0 protocol.The AUTOBITS
function plays the same role as functions GOOSEBINRCV (for IEC 61850) and MULTICMDRCV (for
LON).AUTOBITS function block have 32 individual outputs which each can be mapped as a Binary
Output point in DNP3. The output is operated by a "Object 12" in DNP3. This object contains
parameters for control-code, count, on-time and off-time. To operate an AUTOBITS output point,
send a control-code of latch-On, latch-Off, pulse-On, pulse-Off, Trip or Close. The remaining
parameters are regarded as appropriate. For example, pulse-On, on-time=100, off-time=300,
count=5 would give 5 positive 100 ms pulses, 300 ms apart.
