When the copy running­config command is used, the switch's active
configuration commands (as displayed using show running­config) will be
uploaded to the specified script configuration file on the FTP/TFTP/SFTP server. To
start the switch configuration upload, at the prompt, enter:
RS G8264# copy running­config ftp
or:
RS G8264# copy running­config sftp
or:
RS G8264# copy running­config tftp
The switch prompts you for the server address and filename.
Note: The output file is formatted with line‐breaks but no carriage returns—the
file cannot be viewed with editors that require carriage returns (such as Microsoft
Notepad).
Note: If the FTP/TFTP/SFTP server is running SunOS or the Solaris operating
system, the specified configuration file must exist prior to executing the copy
running­config command and must be writable (set with proper permission,
and not locked by any application). The contents of the specified file will be
replaced with the current configuration data.
