A monitor port's Failover status is Operational only if all the following
conditions hold true:
Port link is up.
If Spanning‐Tree is enabled, the port is in the Forwarding state.
If the port is a member of an LACP Link Aggregation Group (LAG), the port is
aggregated.
If any of these conditions are not true, the monitor port is considered to be failed.
A control port is considered to be operational if the monitor trigger state is Up.
Even if a port's link status is Down, Spanning‐Tree status is Blocking, and the
LACP status is Not Aggregated, from a teaming perspective the port status is
Operational, since the trigger is Up.
A control port's status is displayed as Failed only if the monitor trigger state is
Down.
