When loosening the nuts fixing air conditioner
q
hoses and tubes, be sure to use two wrenches;
use one wrench to fix and use the other one to
loosen the nut.
Connection
q
When installing the hose for the air conditioner
circuit, take care not to allow invasion of dirt,
dusts and water into the hose.
q
Check that the O-rings are fitted to the joints
when connecting the air conditioner piping.
Once an O-ring is used, it is deformed and
q
deteriorated. Accordingly, do not reuse it.
q
When removing the O-rings, use a soft tool so
that the piping is not damaged.
Check that the O-ring is not damaged or deteri-
q
orated.
q
Apply compressor oil for refrigerant (R134a) to
the O-ring.
a However, do not apply oil to the threaded
portion of a bolt, nut or union.

When tightening nuts of the air conditioner

hoses and tubes, be sure to use two wrenches.
Use one wrench to fix and tighten the nut with
the other wrench to the specified torque (Use a
torque wrench for tightening).
