A key that can perform any named
operation; a label next to the key, on the
Vibrex 2000 series display screens, calls
out its operation in the current function,
which changes from screen to screen.
There are four context keys to the left of
the screen, for example,
Cycles per minute (see also, RPM).
Cycles per second (see also, Hertz).
A key that performs a specific operation
named on the key (for example,
). The operation of this key
GO BACK
does not change.
Describes an object in motion.
Erasable, programmable read-only
memory; a chip (microchip) containing
operating instructions for the Vibrex 2000
or Vibrex 2000 Plus.
Describes a fast Fourier transform, that is,
a method used to record vibration spectra
digitally. An FFT consists of individual
bins (also called lines). Each bin contains
a percentage of the RPM range. The user
may determine the actual RPM range
contained in each bin by dividing the
spectrum range (RPM) by the number of
bins.
A vibration source.
A unit of measure of the rate at which a
body accelerates while changes direction.
