5860 Remote Annunciator Installation

The optional Model 5860 Remote Annunciator, is shown in Figure 4-10. Up to 16 annunciators can be added to
the 6820 / 6820EVS system in any combination.

5860 installation involves the following steps:
1. Make sure power is off at the panel.
2. Mount the 5860 in the desired location (see Section 4.5.1).
3. Connect the 5860 to the panel (see Section 4.5.2).
4. Use the DIP switches on the back of the 5860 to assign an ID# to the 5860 (see Section 4.13.1).
5. The new 5860 module must be added to the system through programming. JumpStart will add the module
automatically (see Section 8.1). You can also add it manually (see Section 9.2.2). Select a name, if desired
(see Section 9.2.1.2).

Mounting the 5860

This section of the manual describes mounting the remote annunciator. The annunciator can be flush- or surface-
mounted. Figure 4-11 shows the parts of the annunciator. Instructions for disassembling and mounting appear on
