Adjusting the Amount of Separation and Fluff Air

Adjust the total amount of the air which comes out from the fluff air nozzles and the outlet for separation air.
The air is supplied by the blower in the machine.

Air Volume Adjusting Lever
When both the separation and fluff air are too weak.
Raise the air volume adjusting lever.

The separation and fluff air will increase.
When the sheet width is 220 mm / 8.67" or less,
attach the lid over the two fluff air nozzles located
outside.
→The fluff air from the inside nozzles will increase.
When both the separation and fluff air are too strong.
Lower the air volume adjusting lever.
→
The separation and fluff air will decrease.
How to adjust the amount of separation and
fluff air from the standard.
• When you use thick sheets:
Raise the air volume adjusting lever to the
upper limit and lower it gradually.
• When you use thin sheets:
Lower the air volume adjusting lever to the
lower limit and raise it gradually.

When the lever is raised, the slit is
closed and the air which comes out
from the fluff air nozzles and the
outlet for separation air increases.
When the lever is lowered, the slit
is opened and the air which comes
out from the fluff air nozzles and
the outlet for separation air de-
creases.
