The same package as QJ71MES96 can be used for QJ71MES96N.

The following shows the procedure to replace from QJ71MES96 to QJ71MES96N.
Perform one of the following procedure.

(a) Changing procedure of I/O assignment setting by using GX Works3
When RCPU is the control CPU, changing the parameters is required.
Change the parameters with the following procedure by using GX Works3
(version 1.040S or later).

Double-click "Parameter" → "System Parameter" in the Navigation window.

Change the model name from "QJ71MES96" to "QJ71MES96N" in "I/O
Assignment Setting" on the [I/O Assignment] tab on the "System Parameter"
screen.

Double-click "Parameter" → "Module Information" → "QJ71MES96N" → "Module
Parameter" in the Navigation window.

Set the same value as the value set to QJ71MES96 in "Switch setting" and
"Refresh Setting".

Delete "Unset: QJ71MES96" in "Parameter" → "Module Information" in the
Navigation window.
Table App.2 Combination with the package
1. Read the setting (project) of the information linkage function from
QJ71MES96 using MES Interface Function Configuration Tool.

2. Power OFF the programmable controller.
3. Replace QJ71MES96 with QJ71MES96N.
4. Power ON the programmable controller.
5. Open the saved project. (
6. Write the setting of the information linkage function to QJ71MES96N.

7. Power OFF and ON, or reset the programmable controller CPU to
restart QJ71MES96N.
1. Power OFF the programmable controller.
2. Replace QJ71MES96 with QJ71MES96N.
3. Eject the CompactFlash card from QJ71MES96.
4. Insert the CompactFlash card to QJ71MES96N.
5. Power ON the programmable controller.
