Pre-event Setup Screen
The following table describes the fields on the Pre-event Setup screen.
Description
Enable or disable Pre-event recording. When enabled, if the HRDV16/8 detects an
event (motion, text, or alarm), the video recorded before the event is saved as a
pre-event clip. After the event is reset—depending on the individual event reset
types you set—the HRDV16/8 goes back to recording video data in a loop.
The length of time (from 1 second to 9 minutes, 59 seconds) the HRDV16/8
records a pre-event video clip.
Specify the record rate, in fields per second (fps), recorded by each camera.
.1, .2, .5, 1 to 16 (10 is default), 20 to 60 in increments of five.
Note
The total number of fps that can be recorded by all 16 cameras cannot add
up to more than 60 fps for NTSC or 50 fps for PAL. For the HRDV8, the total
number of fps that can be recorded by all 8 cameras cannot add up to
more than 30 fps for NTSC or 25 fps for PAL.
Set image quality for events. The higher the compression rate, the longer you can
record video before your disk is full. Options are:
Very Low (50:1, 45:1)
Low (40:1, 35:1, 30:1)
Medium (25:1, 20:1) (default)
High (15:1, 10:1)
Enable Pre-event recording for any or all 16 cameras.
Note
Audio cannot be recorded with your pre-event video clips. Audio can only be
recorded with timelapse clips and with alarm, text, and motion event clips.
