Motion Mode in Advanced Mode
Motion mode is also available in the Advanced mode. Motion mode uses the Motion Event
Setup to record timelapse video only when there is motion in the defined camera(s) field of
view that meets the motion detection criteria for size, sensitivity, and direction.
This feature is typically used to record motion during the evening and on weekends and
record this information in the timelapse section of the disk instead of in the event section.
This frees up hard drive space in the event partition that can be used to supplement text
event storage.
Note
To ensure that you do not duplicate motion detection images in both the
timelapse clip and also in a Motion Event clip, disable ALL cameras at the
bottom of the Motion Event Setup Screen for each camera being defined.
