Description
Determines what the system does when the timelapse and event portions of the
hard drive storage space are full. Options are:
Stop. Stops recording.
Recycle. Start at the beginning again, overwriting oldest images.
When the storage space reaches this percentage, the HRDV16/8 sends an alarm.
If enabled, the HRDV16/8 beeps when the disk is full.
If enabled, the HRDV16/8 sends a signal to the specified alarm output when the
disk is full. Options are:
1 to 4, None
Options are:
1 to 365
Caution
If enabled, the HRDV16/8 automatically deletes stored data
after the number of days selected.
Allocate a percentage of the drive capacity for each drive installed. The balance of
the capacity is allocated to timelapse.
Note
Set the drive capacity to 100% if you only use Event mode (and not
Timelapse).
Allocate one installed hard drive as an archive drive.
To program an automatic transfer of selected clips to an archive drive, see
Reports to Run
Automatically, page 122.
For more information on archiving video clips, refer to the
Allocate one installed hard drive to be a Swap drive. A Swap drive can be removed
and replaced with another drive while the unit is powered on. This allows easy
archiving of large amounts of data. For example, a weekly archive could be
managed using seven large drives, replaced on a daily basis and rotated weekly
using the Swap function.
To set up the Swap feature, select a drive number as your Swap drive, then press
Enter.
Note
All drives being swapped into the unit must have the same ID. To avoid
possible data loss, it is recommended that you use only one regular disk
on your system to record when using the Swap feature. A second drive for
archiving is allowable when using Swap. When the archive drive is
designated as the Swap drive, the single disk restriction does not apply.
Reformats drives.
Caution
This action deletes all of the data on your drives.
Deletes all of the events on your drives.
Deletes all of the timelapse data on your drives.
