System Startup
System Components
Rev 1.00
This chapter covers:
•
An overview of the components in an HRDV system
•
How to turn on the HRDV for the first time and perform an initial system check
•
A general procedure for system startup
•
How to connect the HRDV to all peripheral equipment
The HRDV is designed to work with a variety of other equipment. The HRDV16 supports
16 video channel inputs and the HRDV8 supports 8 video channel inputs. You decide
which equipment to connect to the HRDV16/8 to meet your individual needs. This can be
any combination of:
Video Cameras
•
There are 16 analog video inputs and 16 analog video outputs. (The HRDV8 has 8
analog video inputs and 8 analog video outputs.)
•
Video signal format is standard NTSC/PAL color or EIA/CCIR monochrome.
•
Video inputs are composite BNC with BNC loop connectors.
•
Video outputs are composite BNC or S-Video connectors.
Video Monitor
•
There are three monitor outputs.
•
The primary video monitor can be connected to Monitor 1 out—a composite BNC
connector—or to the S-Video output. The S-Video output has the same output as
Monitor 1 but in S-Video format.
•
Monitor 2 out uses a composite BNC connector.
