Setting Up Motion Zones

Rev 1.00
Description
Choose whether or not the HRDV16/8 should beep or trigger the Alarm Output
contact (to activate an external light, bell, and so on).
Define which cameras (16 cameras for HRDV16, 8 cameras for HRDV8) will record
motion event video clips. These are stored in the event disk drive partition.
See
Setting Up Motion
Use the Motion Zones screen to:
Assign screen areas for up to four independent motion zones per camera
Set individual sensitivities
Set size of target (trigger size)
Testing the effectiveness of the motion triggers is key for optimal disk utilization.
When you use the motion detection function, a reference image is saved to provide a
background picture for motion detection. This reference image automatically updates at
regular intervals so that, for example, gradually changing light conditions will not trigger a
motion detection alarm. This reference update process is automated for optimal system
performance.
