Recording Considerations
Starting and Stopping Recording

The HRDV16/8 is a duplex recorder; you can play back images without stopping the
recording. However, recording stops if you enter the Programming mode to change
system setup configurations.
This chapter:

Describes how to start and stop recording
•
Provides considerations for timelapse and event recording
To start recording video:
1.
Press REC (left arrow) on the HRDV16/8 front panel.

Select a User ID (camera buttons 1 to 16). The default User ID is 1.

Enter your user name and password when prompted (camera buttons 1 to 4 only).
Press Enter. (Default password is 1234).
As soon as you enter a valid user name and password, the unit starts recording
according to the values entered in Program mode.
To stop recording:
1.
Press REC.
2.
Enter your User ID and password and press Enter.
