Typical setup for POS server or cash register interface with one specific
start transaction
1.
Set the Text Protocol Setup screen as shown below.
2.
Set the Text Parsing screen as shown below.
One HRDV unit can currently interface up to a maximum of four cash registers.
The above settings assume that the cash registers are numbered 2, 3, 4, and 5. The HRDV
triggers off of string "t2" for port 1 in the above example. All transactions with "t2" starting
at the 5th byte from the data string end will be associated with virtual port 1. To display or
store this data you must program the following additional screens:
1.
Set the correct communications parameters on the Text Port screen (MENU

Text Ports).
Set the Baud rate, stop bits, data bits, and parity.
2.
Set which camera will display the text on the Video Input screen (MENU

Video Inputs).
3.
Program to record the required camera(s) on the Text Event screen (MENU

Text Events).
4.
Set the Text Trigger screen to trigger all (MENU

Text Trigger Strings).
