9.6 Replacing a Filter Dryer and Compressor

9.6.1 Replacing a Filter Dryer

Context
Reclaim or dispose of the refrigerant in accordance with the local laws and
regulations. During the reclaim process, the R410A refrigerant composition may
change. Therefore, you are not advised to refill the reclaimed R410A refrigerant to
the cooling system.
Procedure
Step 1 On the home screen of the display module, tap Shutdown and turn off the unit
switch in the PDF.
Exercise caution because the unit is still energized after it is shut down on the
home screen of the display module.
Step 2 Reclaim the refrigerant from the low pressure needle valve and liquid pipe needle
valve to ensure that there is no pressure inside the system.
Step 3 Remove the filter dryer.
Issue 04 (2022-06-30)
A filter dryer needs to be replaced.
A spare welded filter dryer of the same model is available and functional.
Tools: welding equipment, refrigerant retrieval device (configured based on
local conditions), Phillips screwdriver, nitrogen cylinder, refrigerant cylinder,
vacuum pump, pressure gauge, rubber hose, protective gloves
Preparation: Power off the unit and reclaim the refrigerant in the system.
