Step 8 Power on the new UPS. For details, see
Step 9 If the Inconsistent parallel param. alarm is generated, choose System Info >
Settings on the LCD of the original system and tap Parameter Sync to
synchronize parameters between UPSs in the parallel system.
Step 10 If the PDC output breaker open alarm is generated in the system, choose System
Info > Alarms on the LCD and tap Clear Faults to clear the alarm.
Step 11 Turn on the external output switch for the new UPS. The UPS connects to the
parallel system and works in bypass mode.
Step 12 If there are multiple new UPSs, repeat the preceding steps to add the UPSs to the
parallel system. Then, all UPSs work in bypass mode.
Step 13 Turn on the battery switches for the new UPSs (if there are multiple battery
strings, turn on the switch for each battery string and then the general switch
between battery strings and the UPSs).
If the No battery alarm is generated, after you turn on the battery switches, the
alarm is cleared automatically within 2 minutes.

Expanding Capacity in Inverter Mode
The following procedure is applicable to capacity expansion of the original system
that works in inverter mode.
Before capacity expansion, ensure that:
● The new UPS has the same software version as all running UPSs.
● The input and output cable connections and phase sequence of the new UPS
● The parallel cable of the new UPS is not connected.
● Before connecting inter-rack parallel cables for the new UPS and the original
Step 1 Commission the new UPS by following the instructions in
Starting the
output circuit breaker. After the commissioning is complete, the inverters of the
UPS shut down and the UPS transfers to bypass mode. Ensure that the output
circuit breaker is OFF.
Step 2 Check that the bypass phase sequence of the new UPS and the original UPSs is
correct.
