Engine Installation - Gear Drive

1. Position the engine onto the frame.
2. Apply thread locking compound to the threads of all
4 engine mounting bolts (Fig. 0894).

3. Insert an engine mounting bolt up through the frame
and the rear left engine mounting hole. Place a
lock washer and the ground wire onto the engine
mounting bolt. Loosely install a nut (Fig. 0895).

4. Loosely install the other 3 engine mounting bolts
and nuts securing the engine to the frame. Torque
all 4 engine mounting bolts to 14.5 + 2 ft-lbs. (19.7 +
2.8 Nm) (Fig. 0896).

5. Plug the white wire into the black magneto wire (Fig.
0897).
