Brake Band Replacement

The following procedures are the same for both the left
and right brake band replacement.

Brake Band Removal

1. Turn the engine off and remove the key from the
ignition.

2. Raise the machine so the rear tire is off the ground.
3. Remove the 3 lower idler support mounting bolts
(Fig. 0135).

4. Loosen the idler support bracket pivot bolt (Fig.
0136).

5. Rotate the idler support bracket so that it is out of
the way of the transmission pulley (Fig. 0137).
