14.4.1.6 Configuring Clock Synchronization

In this scenario, the E1/STM-1 line clock can be used to achieve network-wide clock
synchronization.
Prerequisites
The clock daughter board CKMC/CKMD must be on the SCU main control board.

VC12 number: 0
NOTE
The VC12 parameter must match that on the interconnected SDH equipment.
Otherwise, services fail.
Configure a TDM E1 connection for E1 upstream transmission.

Configure a TDM E1 connection for STM-1 upstream transmission.

The OLT traces the upstream E1/STM-1 line clock of the TOPA board as the system clock.
The system clock is delivered to an ONU through optical paths of the GPON board.
The ONU uses the line clock of the GPON upstream port as the system clock.
The ONU E1 transmit clock is synchronized with the system clock of the ONU.
Configure a clock on the OLT.
