Multi-Media Database

Multi SA's PC, running
Admin, is used to enter:
site and user data into a
Multi-Media database.
To access a Multi-Media
unit, a PC running View,
uses connection data
from the database.

A Multi-Media central database is needed to run the Admin application. Information about
sites, users, alarm stations and site tours is contained in a Multi-Media database. You only
need one database for multiple sites.

Data Flow from Admin to View
When an operator logs on to View, a local copy of data about the operator and the sites
they may access, is created from the information on the Multi-Media database.
Database Creation
Creating a database is a rare event that may be needed as little as once or twice during
the life of your Multi-Media system. Honeywell supports two Microsoft database engines:
Access and SQL-Server.
MinAdmin
Your Multi SA has the option of supplying a Multi-Media database that offers a limited
Administrator account to run MinAdmin software.
