Field-Replaceable Unit Guide

Removing and Replacing a Speaker

Make sure to retain all screws, connectors, and other parts during the disassembly.
Note
Take care not to mar the surface nor introduce smudges or dirt to the surface of the projector screen.
Caution
Step 1
Power off the system by completing turning off the following units:

Make sure all system power is turned off before beginning this disassembly.
Step 2
Remove the Projector screen by performing one of the following actions:
Disconnect the Speaker cable clips from the Speaker terminals.
Step 3
Remove the magnetically-held face plate cover from the speaker. You can pry the cover off by carefully
Step 4
inserting the tip of a small screwdriver blade under the edge.
Loosen the corner screws on the speaker with a 9/64-inch Allen wrench. The white fasteners on the rear
Step 5
side of the Speaker board should end up in a horizontal, releasing position.
Pull the speaker out and set it aside.
Step 6
Insert the replacement speaker and secure it in place.
Step 7
Connect the Speaker cable clips to the Speaker terminals.
Step 8
Power on the system by completing the steps in the
Step 9
Refer to the
information.

If your projector screen is slightly recessed and uses black side trims, complete the following steps:
a.
Remove the side trims from the edges of the display.
Be careful not to mar the screen when you perform this step.
Use an open-ended wrench to loosen the feet on the bottom of the screen, and lower the screen.
b.
After you have created a gap of approximately 1/2 inch (1 centimeter) between the screen and
c.
the display shelf, detach the holes on the top screen from the locating pins on the underside of
the display shelves and remove the screen.
If your projector screen does not have side trims and is flush with the display cabinet, grasp the outer
edges of the screen and pull it up and away from the Projector clips that hold the screen to the
Display shelves.
