Counter Current Value Registers
The Counter Current Value High/Low registers provides 32-bit current count value of a given
counter/timer. Reading the Counter Current Value High Register captures the 32-bit current count
value into the Counter Current Value High and Counter Current Value Low registers. The 16
uppermost counter bits are read from the High register. A subsequent read from the Low register
provides the lower 16 bits of the captured counter value.

Counter Preload Value Registers
The Counter Preload Value High/Low registers allow the counters to be preloaded to a specific
count value. To write the 32-bit preload value, a write must be performed to the Counter Preload
Value High Register, then the Counter Preload Value Low Register. The write to the Low register
will transfer the full 32-bit value into the internal preload register.
Reading the Counter Preload Value High Register captures the 32-bit current count value into the
Counter Preload Value High and Counter Preload Value Low registers. The 16 uppermost counter
bits are read from the High register. A subsequent read from the Low register provides the lower
16 bits of the preload value.
