Connections

7.3.1
Introduction
This section gives an overview of typical system
connections using the data distribution board:
Connecting to the system (see section 7.3.2).
Connecting an external power supply (see
section 7.3.3).
Connecting parallel inputs and parallel outputs (see
section 7.3.4).
Connecting a remote initialization circuit (see
section 7.3.5).
7.3.2
Connecting to the system
Use the attached DCN cable to connect the data
distribution board to the system. It is not possible to
loop-through the board in the DCN. A trunk splitter
(LBB4114/00) or tap-off unit (LBB4115/00) must be
used if looping through is required.

7.3.3
Connecting an external power
supply
The data distribution board has a provision for
connecting an external power supply. This provision
consists of two solder pads and a screw connector,
which are connected in parallel. Whether the external
power source or the system power supply is used,
depends on the position of the J10 jumpers.
