Requirements

The control PC must comply to the following
requirements:
Operating system:
Windows 2000
Windows XP Professional
Ethernet:
Ethernet for use in multi PC systems.
Serial ports (RS232):
Serial ports (RS232) for connection to CCU, label
printer, error logging, printing microphone activity.
Parallel port
Parallel printer port for connection to a printer.

32.2 Connecting to the CCU

By default, RS232 port 1 of the CCU is configured for
connection to a PC. See chapter 8 for information about
the configuration of the ports. Connect the PC to the
CCU using a RS232 wire-to-wire cable (see section
8.3.8)

32.3.1 Overview
The next figure give an overview of the printer and
COM port settings of a Control PC.

The next table contains the default port settings for
COM 1 of a Control PC. The COM port settings can be
changed from the Windows Control Panel, whereas the
COM port assignments can be changed in the dcnng.ini
file (located in the Windows directory).
