Example layouts

27.6.1 Introduction
The exact lay-out of the optical network depends on the
number and type of units that form the optical network.
This section contains some easy-to-follow examples of
(strongly simplified) optical networks to illustrate the
possibilities.
27.6.2 Basic optical network
See figure 27.6 for an example of a basic optical
network.

27.6.3 Redundant cabling
The basic optical network (see figure 27.6) has no
redundant cabling. If the cable between the CCU
(LBB4100/00) and the audio expander analogue
(LBB4402/00) breaks, it becomes impossible to transfer
audio from the audio expander to the network. This can
be solved by creating a redundant cabled system (see
figure 27.7)
