3.3.4 Installing an Air Duct

Prerequisites
Before the installation, ensure that there is no construction waste in the air shaft.

Air ducts need to be prepared by the customer based on the site
requirements. The air duct in the figure is for reference only.
– Indoor return air duct: secured using 48 M8x20 screws.
– Indoor supply air duct: secured using 36 M8x20 screws.
If an air damper is configured, secure the air damper and air duct using
tapping screws.

The indoor supply air duct is used as an example. The air duct position in the figure is for
reference only.

● The air duct must be wrapped with thermal insulation foam, and the thickness of the
thermal insulation foam must be greater than or equal to 3 cm.
● The joint between the air duct and the unit should be sealed to prevent air leakage.
Generally, the sealing cotton is pressed inside the flange of the air duct or sealant is
applied to the flange after installation.
