5.3.3 Removing an NVMe SSD

Windows
Step 1 Stop all services that access the NVMe SSD to be removed.
Step 2 Install the Windows tool package. For details, see Installation and Configuration >
Installing the Tool Package > Installing the Tool Package (Windows) in the
NVMe PCIe SSD User
Step 3 Double-click the HioadmGUI_DotNet_x.0.exe file in the tool installation directory to
display the Windows GUI window, as shown in

NOTE
l NVMe SSDs support only orderly hot swap. Before removing an NVMe SSD, stop all services
accessing the NVMe SSD.
l Back up data on the NVMe SSD to be removed.
l Wait until the hot removal of an NVMe SSD is complete before you remove another one.

HioadmGUI_DotNet_2.0.exe file in the tool installation directory.
