Download the kernel upgrade package to your PC.
Log in to the official Red Hat website using a customer portal account and download
kernel-3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64.rpm.
Download link: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/rhel---7/x86_64/2456/
kernel/3.10.0-514.26.2.el7/x86_64/fd431d51/package
Use the KVM to mount the directory where the upgrade package is located. See
5-12.

Mount the upgrade package to a directory on the OS, for example, /home.
mount /dev/sr0 /home
Check the upgrade package in the /home directory.
cd /home
ls kernel*
Upgrade the system kernel.
rpm -ivh kernel*.x86_64.rpm
Run the reboot command to restart the server and go to the new kernel.
Verify the upgrade.
uname –r
Output:
kernel-3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64
Log in to the OS, and open /etc/default/grub.
Press Insert.
Locate GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="crashkernel=auto rd.lvm.lv=rhel/root
rd.lvm.lv=rhel/swap rhgb quiet and enter pciehp.pciehp_force=1 pci=pcie_bus_perf
after it.
Between the added content and its preceding content, a space is required and no line feed
is allowed, as shown in

Press Esc.
Enter :wq to save the change and exit.
