9.5 Synchronous spindle
Difference in speed for COUPONC
Transfer of a movement for difference in speed
When a synchronous spindle coupling is activated with COUPONC a currently active speed is
overlaid on the following spindle (M3 S... or M4 S...).

Enabling overlaying
Overlay of a spindle speed ( M3 S... or M4 S...) using a synchronous spindle coupling
COUPONC only becomes effective if the overlay has been enabled.
Dynamic restriction of the leading spindle
The dynamic responses of the leading spindle have to be restricted to such an extent that
when overlaying is applied to the following spindle, its dynamics limit values are not
exceeded.
Velocity, acceleration: FA, ACC, OVRA, VELOLIMA
Axial velocity and acceleration of a following spindle can be programmed with:
• FA[SPI(S<n>)] or FA[S<n>] (axial velocity)
• ACC[SPI(S<n>)] or ACC[S<n>] (axial acceleration)
• OVRA[SPI(S<n>)] and OVRA[S<n>] (axial override)
• VELOLIMA[SPI(S<n>)] and VELOLIMA[S<n>] (increase and reduction of axial velocity
respectively)
When <n> = 1, 2, 3, ... (spindle numbers of the following spindles)

Acceleration component JERKLIMA[S<n>]
Programming an increase or reduction in axial velocity is currently ineffective for spindles.
