Negative tester probe →

Black/Blue "2"

b. Turn the main switch to "ON".
c. Measure the intake air pressure sensor out-
put voltage.

CHECKING THE INTAKE AIR
TEMPERATURE SENSOR
1. Remove:
Intake air temperature sensor
G
(from the air filter case.)

WARNING
Handle the intake air temperature sensor
G
with special care.
Never subject the intake air temperature
G
sensor to strong shocks. If the intake air
temperature sensor is dropped, replace it.
2. Check:
Intake air temperature sensor resistance
G
Out of specification → Replace.
Intake air temperature sensor re-
sistance
5.40–6.60 kΩ Ω Ω Ω at 0° ° ° ° C (32° ° ° ° F)
0.29–0.39 kΩ Ω Ω Ω at 80° ° ° ° C (176° ° ° ° F)

a. Connect the digital circuit tester (Ω × 100) to
the intake air temperature sensor terminal as
shown.
