Parameters
<vlan_name 32> - Specify the name of the VLAN on which the MAC address resides. The maximum
length is 32 characters.
<macaddr> - Specify the multicast MAC address to be added to the static forwarding table.
Addresses in the range "01-80-C2-XX-XX-XX" are reserved bridge group addresses, which have
fixed forwarding rules and can not be set as the static MAC address. Addresses in the range "01-
00-5E-XX-XX-XX" and "33-33-XX-XX-XX-XX" are IP multicast addresses, which can not be
specified as the static L2 multicast MAC address.
Restrictions
Only Administrator, Operator and Power-User level users can issue this command.
Example
To create multicast MAC forwarding:
DGS-3420-28SC:admin# create multicast_fdb default 01-00-00-00-01-01
Command: create multicast_fdb default 01-00-00-00-01-01
Success.

Description
This command is used to add or remove some ports from the outgoing portlist of the specified
multicast MAC forwarding entry. The VLAN name and MAC address is used to uniquely identify the
entry.
Format
config multicast_fdb <vlan_name 32> <macaddr> [add | delete] <portlist>
Parameters
<vlan_name 32> - Specify the name of the VLAN on which the MAC address resides. The maximum
name length is 32 characters.
<macaddr> - Enter the multicast MAC address. The VLAN name and MAC address is used to
uniquely identify the entry.
add - Specify to add ports.
delete - Specify to delete ports.
<portlist> - Enter the port list to add or remove from the entry's egress portlist (Unit ID: port number).
Note1: The egress port list should be static members of the input VLAN.
Note2: The egress port list could be link aggregation master ports. The multicast forwarding
according to multicast load balancing mode.
