Definition
Assembly of accessory subassembly
components.
Install equipment and instrumentation required
for accessory component test.
Any assembly required to maintain support
equipment.
The movement of any part, subassembly,
assembly, or component from the time it is
packaged until it reaches its destination.
The receipt activity for any incoming part,
subassembly, assembly, or component.
Installing parts, subassemblies, assemblies, or
components into shipping containers.
Removing parts, subassemblies, assemblies,
or components from shipping containers.
Safekeeping of parts, subassemblies,
assemblies, or components until required for
use.
Marshaling is collection of parts,
subassemblies, and accessories prior to
release for assembly. Positioning is movement
from one fixed state to another.
Necessary preparations before and after
transporting an engine by aircraft ferry method.
Action required to sustain a unit or system in
proper operating status including priming with
applicable fluids prior to use.
Preparation of a unit, part, assembly, etc.,
for safekeeping from decomposition or
deterioration. Includes preparation for storage
(applying a preservative layer, desiccants, etc.).
