Actuator Cable Adjustment
1.
Check
that the actuator cable operates smoothly
with no binding or sticki
ng.
2.
Start the
engine.
Hold the
engine at
3,000 rpm with
no load IAfT in
[ffi
or

position, M(T

n neutral)
until the radiator fan comes
on,
then let it
idle,
3.
Measure the amount of movement of the actuator
rod until the cable pulls on th
e
accelerator lever
(engine speed starts to increase). Free play should
be 11
±

If free play is not with in specs, loosen the
locknut,
and turn the adjusting nut as required
.
NOTE
:
If
necessary,
check the throttle cable free
play (see section 11), then recheck the actuator rod
free
play.

Retighten the locknut, and recheck the free
play.
