• Self-diagnosis

If the PGM Tester is available,
retrieve the NT Freeze Data, then
clear the PCM.
Test-drive the vehicle under the
same conditions the Freeze Data
was recorded.
Did the code return?
YES
Check the countershaft speed
sensor installation, and check it
for damage.
Is the countershaft speed sensor
installed properly, and not dam-
aged?
YES
Measure Countershaft Speed
Sensor Resistance
at
the Sensor
Connector:
1.
Disconnect the 2P connector
from the countershaft speed
sensor.
2.
Measure countershaft speed
sensor resistance at the sensor
connector.
Is the resistance 400
