Measur. AlP P Voltage:
Measure
the
voltage between
the
NO.6
terminal
of the interlock
control
unit
and body ground.

Check Shift Lock Solenoid for an
Open Circuit:
1. Turn the ignition
switch
OFF.
2.
Disconnect
the shift
lock
sole-
noid
connector.

Check
for
continuity
between
the
NO.
3 terminal of
the
inter-
lock control unit
and the
No.2
terminal of the shift lock sole-
noid
connector.
Is
there
contin
uity?

YES
Check Shift Lock Solenoid Oper-
ation:
1,
Connect the
NO.
1 terminal
of
the shift
lock solenoid connec-
tor to the
battery
positive
ter-
minai, and connect the No.2
terminal
to
the
battery nega-
tive terminal.
2.
Check the
shift
lock
solenoid
operation.
Does
the
shift
lock solenoid
operate
properly?
YES
Check for loose terminal fit in the
interlodl:
contro' untt connectors.
If
necessary, substttute

good interlock control unit and
recheck.
