The

the ignition
switch
OFF.

Connect the A

Turn the
ignition switch ON
(It).
4.
Shift to
any position ather
than
[Q!]
or
[Q].
5.
Measure
the vohage between
the 09
terminal and body
ground
.
Is
there
approx.
5
V?
NO
Test the
AJT
gear
position switch
(see
page 14-139),
Is the switch OK?
YES
Check for. short to ground in the
wire between the D9 terminal and
AfT
gear positjon
switch.

OK, substitute a known-good PCM
and recheck.
