NOTE: (Canada) Pull the parking brake lever up.
Start the engine, then check that the headlights are olf.
1 . Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating
temperature (the radiator fan comes on).
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
3. Connect a tachometer.
4. Disconnect the 2P connector from the ldle Air Con-
Start the engine with the accelerator pedal slightly
depressed. Stabilize the rpm at 10O0, then slowly
release the pedal until the engine idles.
Check idling in no-load conditions: headlights, blower
fan, rear defogger, radiator fan, and air conditioner
are not operating.

Adjust the idle speed, if necessary, by turning
the idle adjusting screw.
IOLE ADJUSTING SCREW
Turn the ignirion switch OFF.
Reconnect the 2P connector on the IAC valve. then
remove CLOCK RADIO (1O A) Iuse in the under-hood
fuse/relay box tor 1O seconds to reset the ECM.
Restart and idle the engine with no-load conditions
for one minute, then check the idle speed.
NOTE: {Canada) Pull the parking brake lever up.
Start the engine, the check that the headlights are
off.
