Enhancements
Version 2000 or higher is required for the Mobile ConneX feature.
Description
The IP Extenders allow for a Digital Station to be extended to anywhere in the world, allowing seamless
connection and functionality with the Elite IPK II system.
The following are some supported features for Extended Extensions:
Place and receive calls
Use Speed Dials
Receive and send Caller ID
Make Conference Calls
Transfer calls
Integrate with Voice Mail
Act as an ACD Agent
Use some adapters on the Digital Extension
Gateway Unit
The IP Extender-Gateway is the central receiving point for routing voice conversations from one or more
locations to the IPK II. Extended Extension can place a call through the IPK II by dialing a number as if
the user was in the main office.
Two types of Gateway units are available – dual port (two ports) or 8-port Gateway.
Gateways can connect to Branch units via an IP connection.
Gateways can connect to Branch units via a WAN connection (8-port Gateway to 8-port Branch
only).
The Gateway only has two WAN connections (8-port Gateway only).
The Gateway uses a proprietary protocol.
