8.3.7

Installing the ac Power Supply Cable

1.
Run the three-wire ac power supply cable through a conduit up to the
Hydran 201Ci-1.
2.
Connect the cable to terminals 1 and 2 of the main terminal block, and connect the
E/G wire to the enclosure chassis. For wiring details, see Table D-11 on page D-8.
3.
Connect the other end of the cable to the power source.
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Turn off the electric power at the

CAUTION
fuse box or service panel before making any electrical connections,
and ensure a proper ground connection is made before connecting
line voltage. Failure to do so can result in property damage, personal
injury and/or death.

If desired, connect the H201Ti's ac power supply cable to terminals 4 to 6 of the main
terminal block.
The earth/ground terminal (terminal 3) must be connected. Never

CAUTION
perform high-voltage tests (mega-ohm measurements using a
Megger* instrument) on cables connected to a Hydran 201Ti or a
Hydran 201Ci Controller. Never apply high voltages to the
components of a Hydran 201R Model i, as they are equipped with
surge protection devices that could be damaged by Megger* tests.

Verifying the Operation

Proceed as described in Section 8.2.1 on page 8-3 and Section 8.2.2 on page 8-3.

Verifying the Analog Outputs

Perform this procedure only if the Hydran 201Ci-1's analog outputs are used (connected to
a SCADA system).
Proceed as described in Section 8.2.3 on page 8-4.
