If Area Shape = "Ellipse"
To set the center point of a circle (CP) and diameter (R)
Set the coordinates of the center of a
circle as CPX and CPY, and set the
diameters in the X and Y directions of a
circle as RX and RY. An inspection area
(circle) and the rectangle circumscribing
around it are displayed.
To set a start point (SP) and end point (EP)
Set a start point (SPX, SPY) and end
point (EPX, EPY) in the area to be
inspected. If the coordinates of the start
point are equal to those of the end point
when you set the area shape to
"Ellipse", the PV310 scans on all
circumference of the circle. You can let
the PV310 scan the inspection area
clockwise, but you cannot let the PV310
scan the inspection area
counterclockwise.
To set an ellipse
After selecting "Change", press the B key. When a
"Preset" window for arc as show on the right is
displayed, select the desired position of an arc. In the
figure shown below, the option "Arc (Up)" is selected.
Set start and end points, the position of
a circle (CP) and the diameter of a
circle (R) so as to create an ellipse.
You can draw the area NOT created by
the start and end points (the shaded
zone) in the figure shown below out of
the screen display area. (You can
check the whole image including the
area which is not displayed on the
screen.) As a result, you can set an
ellipse to full screen.
To set the size of a cell (WX, WY)
Set the size of a rectangular cell to calculate
the brightness of each area (average gray
value).
To set the number of cells
The same procedure as the one described in "If Area Shape = Line"

The circle in dark color at the
middle of the image is displayed
on the screen, but the light gray
