6.7.3 Setting Procedure

Inspection Conditions:
1.
Proceed up to "Configure the setting for preprocessing" at the third step following section 6.2.1.
2.
Set "Area Size Adj." as necessary.
The "Area Size Adj." function can expand or contract the inspection area to fit the object (see page 85.
3.
Select "Direction".
Select "Horizontal "/ "Vertical" from the submenu. (When "Area Shape" is set to "Line", this menu option is
deactivated.)

"Horizontal"
Detects edges from the start point toward
scanning
the end point in the horizontal direction
(Horizontal direction scans on the monitor
screen)
"Vertical"
Detects edges from the start point toward
scanning
the end point in the vertical direction
(vertical direction scans on the monitor
screen)
4.
Select "Scan Method.
Select either "Single" or "Projection".
Selecting "Projection" enables you to check a processed projection
image. To do this, select "Projection Image" at the bottom of the menu.

Select "Position Adj." and press the ENTER key.
When you execute position/rotation adjustment checkers specify the
checker numbers.
But, the number of position/rotation-adjustment-referred checkers
must be lower than the number of the rotation-adjustment-referring
checker. (See page 140 for Position Adjustment and page 152 for
Rotation Adjustment)
6. Select "Edge Condition".
Select "Light-Dark", "Dark-Light" or "Both" from the submenu.
Light ->Dark
Detects a pixel that changes from high gray to
low gray (or from light to dark)
Dark-> Light
Detects a pixel that changes from low gray to
high gray (or from dark to light)
Both
Detects a pixel that changes both from light to
dark and from dark to light.
