6.11 What is Position Adjustment?

6.11.1 Overview

Position Adjustment is a function to detect the position of the object and move a checker to it. This
function calculates how many pixels the object moved from the base position in X and Y directions and
moves the object by the moving distance which is called "Adjustment amount".
Finding the Position of the Object:
Follow the same steps to detect the position of an object that were used for detecting the position of an
object with a checker.
Binary Edge,
Sets two areas to detect the
Gray Edge:
position of the object. One is for
detecting the object position in the
horizontal direction; the other is for
detecting the object position in the
vertical direction. You can also set
either of the areas.
Feature
Finds the position of an object
Extraction
(Extraction Image: cluster of
extract or not extract pixels, Gray
Image: clusters of white or black
pixels) by detecting the center of
gravity of the object.
Matching
Finds the position of a registered
base image (template) within the
specified area (search area) and
detects the position (output point
x/y coordinates) by using the
Smart Matching function.
