Knob 1
Use this page to check the SCSI IDs of the devices connected to the A3000, and to enable
or disable the use of each of these devices.
FYI
After changing a SCSI ID or connecting a new SCSI device to your system, you should
always come to this page to check the connection status. For information about how to
connect up SCSI devices, please refer to "Connecting external SCSI devices." ( 328)
Change Page
• Turn the knob to change to a different page within the DISK function. Available
pages are: Disk, Config (this page),and SelfID.
• Push the knob to move to the Program/Sample Selection screen. ( 95)
SCSI ID
• Turn the knob to select a SCSI ID. If a device with this ID is currently connected, the
screen indicates the device's name, its manufacturer, and its current "mount" status
(see below). Note that the A3000 itself, and any internal hard disk that you have
installed, are also SCSI devices, and will be identified on the screen when you select
the corresponding ID.
• If you select the ID of the A3000, the screen displays "YAMAHA : A3000".
• If you select an unused ID, the screen displays "- - - - - - - -:- - - - - - - -".
Mount
• Use this setting to "mount" or "unmount" (internally connect or disconnect) the
selected SCSI device.

• This setting is not available if you have selected the ID of the A3000 itself.
