Preparations
Tools: Phillips screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver, step ladder, rivet gun
Materials: spare buzzer
Documents: fire extinguishing device layout diagram (CE)
Skill requirement: fire engineer
Procedure
Step 1 Disconnect the battery cables, and switch off the input circuit breaker of the extinguishant
control panel.
Step 2 Remove the screws securing the buzzer cover and base using a flat-head screwdriver.

Step 3 Remove cables from the buzzer.
Step 4 Remove the rivets securing the buzzer and base using a rivet gun to separate the buzzer from
the base.
Step 5 Install the new buzzer base in the same way.
Step 6 Connect cables to the correct terminals of the buzzer.

Before replacing the buzzer, inform the related administrative departments of the
temporary downtime of the fire extinguishing system. After the replacement, inform the
administration department that the system has become normal.
As a terminal resistor is connected to the buzzer in parallel, remove the terminal resistor from the
faulty buzzer, and connect the resistor to the new buzzer when you replace the buzzer.
